Why “Turtle Ctrl”?

Say it fast: Turtle Ctrl sounds like total control, which is exactly what you want from a robot.

Turtle is a nod to our school’s mascot, the honu.

We’re the FIRST Robotics Competition team of Hawaiʻi Technology Academy’s Kona campus.

    For Parents

Does my student need robotics experience?

No. 11 of our 12 members are in their first FRC season.

    Where does the team compete?

In the 2027 season: the Pikes Peak Regional in Colorado Springs (Week 1) and the Hawaii Regional in Honolulu (Week 3).

    When is the season?

The game is revealed at Kickoff in early January. Teams build in January and February, and regionals run in March and April.

How do you handle photos and privacy?

Every student on the team has a signed media release. Online, we use first names only, and we remove location data from photos before posting them.
